From parties and open days to home education, workshops and developing curriculum we are now experimenting with what school looks like on a working farm. We can provide inspiration and support for whatever ideas you and your children have and can make these a reality.

WHO ARE WE?
Our Story
Feathers & Arrows was born in the summer of 2018. I was nannying two delightful children who were playing a game of cowboys and Indians. Feathers were floating and arrows were flying through the air and I was captured by the simplicity and beauty of free play.
I have long had a heart to explore and encourage new ways of educating children. A love of nature and creative expression has developed an array of resources and experiences for children to explore their own limits and forms of expression whilst experiencing the freedom and joy of the world around them.
PARTIES
Fun in the Feathers & Arrows Den!
This is one of our most popular services available. It’s made a big difference for many of our customers, and is always provided with the highest level of excellence. With this service, we ensure all details are simple, seamless and handled in a timely manner. We can supply entertainment and trusted childcare in any setting tailored to your own needs and creativity. Weddings, open days, birthday parties and corporate events are all catered for.
The Den
Our very own Feathers & Arrows Den is a 5 metre wide canvas bell tent that can be decorated to any theme or design of your choosing. We have complete packages including childcare and supervision or we can also rent the Den or a range of party gazebos of varying sizes to you for your own private use, be that a wedding, BBQ, family party or sleepover, if you can dream it, we can do it!
We will deliver, set up and decorate to any scheme or theme and will return to take down and pack away - easy and stress free!

TUTORING, RESOURCES AND WORKSHOPS

Feathers & Arrows can supply resources to support education both at home and in a group setting.
From pre packaged resource boxes to bespoke storytelling and activities, any subject can be provided.
We can support national curriculum and home educating families, or simply do something fun for you.

BABYSITTING SERVICE
Always in safe hands
With almost 20 years experience working with children, Feathers & Arrows can offer babysitting in your own home or at venues or holiday accommodation. Fully certified in Paediatric first aid, with up to date and full PVG and food hygiene certificate as well as clean driving license and public liability insurance you won't find better care for your children. References are always available on request.
EARLY YEARS EDUCATION SETTING

We are currently working on devising an early years education centre where pre school age through to 6 years can explore the world around them and learn in a hands on, immersive project based manner.
Outdoor play And understanding the environment and sustainability is central to our ethos.
Learning is hoped to be based on a beautiful family run farm in the heart of Royal Deeside, the children will experience the daily flow and life of the farm whilst being able to have the opportunity to tend animals, raise crops, work wool and learn Natural horsemanship from experienced professionals in a real life setting alongside reaching age appropriate learning outcomes in foundational learning.
Although we are still in the research and development phase this is a very exciting project for the future!
